CrossFit Is A Team Sport
Most people who grow up in the US have played team sports at one point in their life. But we all have full-time jobs now and can’t spend our weeknights playing softball or basketball with so many other things to do. This is where CrossFit comes in.
Whether you realize it or not, CrossFit is a team sport. We compete to sharpen our skills and further our level of fitness, but the overall goal is for our team to grow together. We can each CrossFit at a super-cheap Globo-Gym and make our own PR’s. But that’s like shooting hoops alone in your driveway or hitting with a pitching machine. Your CrossFit teammates are your cheerleaders, friends, and your family and they want to see progress. They are a family that cares when you finally get off the band, cares when you do your first WOD as RX’d, and cares when you disappear for a week. But they need your help too. They need encouragement, dedication and commitment to help them accomplish their individual goals.
I’ve heard people say CrossFit is like a cult. Well if supporting of each other by spending time together and working towards common goals is a cult, then give me the weird robe and the funky punch. Cause I want to be a part of that team.

on January 7th, 20091 thruster the first min? To all, it’s 1 pullup the first minute. James, unfortunately, is still feeling the effects of inhaling too many paint fumes. I caught him sitting in the corner of the gym today rocking back and forth, wearing bright red lipstick and eating a bottle of Elmer’s glue….yeah
